Virginia (Ginny) Gay
Exploration Manager - Scandinavia
Ginny joined Capella in late-2021 and is an economic geologist with over 8 years of international mineral exploration and production experience. She studied Applied Geology at Camborne School of Mines in the United Kingdom and, since graduating, has worked in several different countries exploring for a variety of deposit types in different climates and geological terrains. Ginny has several years of experience working in northern Scandinavia on greenfields exploration projects with junior exploration companies and brownfields (near-mine) exploration with Boliden, together with production geology experience with Mandalay Resources. Other experience includes working in regional exploration programs in southern Ecuador, greenfields exploration programs in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile, and two field seasons exploring for base metal deposits in southern and eastern Greenland.
Trond Langeng
Exploration Geologist - Norway
Trond holds an M.Sc. in Geology from the NTNU (Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet) and has been working with Capella Norway on a full-time basis since mid-2021. Prior to Capella, Trond worked in operation and maintenance planning with MainTech and on seismic surveys with Schlumberger. Trond hails from the Holtålen district (Trøndelag) and is intimately familiar with operating in the Kjøli and Løkken project areas.
Valentina Perez
Project Assistant - Norway
Valentina holds an M.Sc. in Marketing Management with a specialization in Digital Marketing from the BI Handelshøyskole in Oslo and has also been working full-time with Capella Norway since 2021. Valentina’s primary role is to assist in all aspects of Capella Norway´s exploration activities, including community relations initiatives, providing innovative strategies to create digital content, as well as providing operational (database) / logistical support for our local field teams.
