Sergio holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the Bergakademie School of Mines Freiberg (Germany) and is an exploration geophysicist with 20+ years of experience in international mining and mineral exploration. Sergio was most recently Geophysics Director (Chief Geophysicist) of Goldcorp Inc., which was acquired by Newmont Corporation in 2019. Prior to this, Mr. Espinosa worked for a number of major, mid-tier, and junior mining companies including BHP, Placer Dome, Terrane Metals, and Ivanhoe Mines. Sergio is also a P.Geo EGBC (Canada) and principal of the consulting firm SE Geoscience and Exploration.
Virginia (Ginny) Gay
Project Geologist - Scandinavia
Ginny is a geologist with over 5 years of international mineral exploration and production experience. She studied Applied Geology at Camborne School of Mines in the United Kingdom and, since graduating, has worked in several different countries exploring for a variety of deposit types in different climates and geological terrains. Ginny has several years of experience working in northern Scandinavia on greenfields exploration projects with junior exploration companies and brownfields (near-mine) exploration with Boliden, together with production geology experience with Mandalay Resources. Other experience includes working in regional exploration programs in southern Ecuador, greenfields exploration programs in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile, and two field seasons exploring for base metal deposits in southern and eastern Greenland.

Senior Consultant - Norway
Rune holds an M.Sc. in Geology from the Technical University of Norway in Trondheim and is a highly-experienced geologist with over 35 years experience in Norwegian-focused mineral exploration. Between 1985 and 1997, Rune worked with the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) and since then has worked as a consultant for a large number of mining / exploration companies with gold and base metal projects in Norway, Greenland, and also Sweden.

Trond holds an M.Sc. in Geology from the NTNU (Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet) and has been working with Capella Norway on a full-time basis since mid-2021. Prior to Capella, Trond worked in operation and maintenance planning with MainTech and on seismic surveys with Schlumberger. Trond hails from the Holtålen district (Trøndelag) and is intimately familiar with operating in the Kjøli and Løkken project areas.
Project Assistant - Norway
Valentina holds a degree in Marketing Management with a specialization in Digital Marketing from the BI Handelshøyskole in Oslo and has been working full-time with Capella Norway since 2021. Valentina’s primary role is to assist with Capella’s Norwegian community relations initiatives, providing innovative strategies to create digital content, as well as providing operational / logistical support for our local field teams.
